Charlie Gehringer scrapbook : scrapbook, 1935-1951.

The majority of the scrapbook, most liekly created by Josephine Gehringer, concentrates on Charlie Gehringer. Items of note are a program from a Charlie Gehringer testimonial dinner as well as a complete December issue of Baseball Magazine from 1937. There are also several baseball cards to note: 1936 Goudey "wide pen" premiums (R314) #57. 1934 Coudey (R320) #23, 1933 Goudey 4-in-1 (R321) Designated card #17 cut art. The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, newspaper photos, game accounts, box scores, a few black-and-white photos, and other miscellaneous clippings.

Charlie Gehringer played his entire career with the Detroit Tigers (1924-1942). Upon his retiring, Gehringer coached for the Tigers then became vice-president and general manager from 1951-1953.
